Our first, our only Chardonnay from one of our favorite vineyards. The vinous equivalent of a lemon drop - tart, zingy, with creamy and luscious mouthfeel; a great pairing for whatever spread goes out at book club, as if you're going to share it with anyone else.

2018 Rita's Crown Vineyard Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
May 2025 Wine of the Month!
For followers of ours, you know that we don’t take the Rita’s Crown vineyard lightly. It has the potential to produce wines that can be far more complex and dimensional than a wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am fruit bomb. Wines that, like the best lovers, age gracefully, wines that you want to spend some time with rather than inhale during a boozy, fete-filled blowout that leaves you questioning your life choices in the morning.
Delicious red and blue fruit with underlying savory notes, tongue teasing acidity, bramble, and earth, all in service of a certain je ne sais quoi (yes, the winemaker is deep into Duolingo French, and if you ever find yourself in the Hollywood area and listen very carefully, you might hear him butchering the language of love out a second-floor window). A poster-Pinot for the Rita’s Crown moniker.
